The 2025 Dog Licenses will be available on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. The fee for a male/female is $11.00, and $6.00 for a spayed or neutered dog. All dogs must be licensed by December 31, 2024. The State has rolled out a new platform for us to use when registering your dog. The days of manual dog licenses are no longer. Please be patient with us during this transition. This first year will be the most time consuming, as you will need to come in person to register your dog with your current rabies certificate and proof of sterilization if applicable. You will need to know the weight of your dog, breed and color markings, birthdate or age, microchip information if applicable, and veterinarian information. We will be unable to process dog licenses through the mail this year. Reminder letters will go out in the mail in October for those who registered last year. It is a law in the State of Maine that all dogs six months and older must be licensed, and a $25.00 late fee will apply if not registered by the deadline.
