The Parkman Grange will meet on Monday, April 4th at 5:00 p.m. at the Parkman Grange Hall. Anyone interested in helping with community events is invited to come hear about their plans for the year. Please note that the day of the week that the Grange meet has changed from the 1st Tuesday of the month to the 1st Monday of the month.
Congratulations to those elected at the Annual Town Meeting: Mike Perigo, Selectman; Jen Perigo and Tom Cyr, SAD #4 School Board Members; Paul Yale, Scott Raymond, and Scott Maclauchlan Jr., Planning Board Members; and Shirley Hersey, Library Trustee.
The Planning Board will meet on Thursday, April 7th at 6:00 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.
The Parkman Trailblazers Snowmobile Club will meet on Tuesday, April 12th at 6:00 p.m. in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office.
SAD #4 School Vacation week is April 18th through April 22nd. They will have an early release day on Friday, April 15th. Dismissal will be at 11:30 a.m., and no a.m. pre-k.
The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSED on Monday, April 18th in observance of Patriots Day.
The Board of Selectmen will meet on Wednesday, April 13th and Wednesday, April 27th at 5:30 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.
Happy Easter to all on Sunday, April 17, 2022. The Parkman Baptist Church will hold a brunch at 9:45 a.m. and an Easter Egg Hunt for kids at 10:00 a.m. The service will begin at 10:15 a.m. and all are welcome to attend.
The 2022 Boat Registrations are available. If you are registering a boat for the first time, you will need a bill of sale or proof of sales tax paid at a dealer at time of registration. Registration fee is based on length of boat and horsepower. Boats DO NOT require a title. We also need the color of the boat and your Driver’s License or unexpired State ID per requirement of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.
Stephen Lackey is the Animal Control Officer for the Town of Parkman. He can be reached at 343-2013. He deals with domestic animals only, please contact a Game Warden for wildlife issues.
White’s Family Redemption is open Tuesday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., closed Sunday and Monday. They are located on the Crow Hill Road in Parkman. They will continue to take drop offs outside of these hours, but please call to ensure someone is available. They can be reached at 876-2681.
Building permits are available at the Parkman Town Office.
The Transfer Station is open Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to Noon. It will be opening on Wednesdays beginning May 4, 2022, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Please have your Transfer Station sticker visible to the attendants inside of your vehicle. If you do not have a sticker, please contact the Town Office at 876-3730.

The fee for a marriage license is $40.00. Marriage applications are valid 90 days from issue. Both the bride and groom must sign the application in the presence of a clerk at the Parkman Town Office. If this is not your first marriage, please bring in a copy of your divorce decree or a death certificate when completing the application. Please note that you must call the Parkman Town Office at 876-3730 to schedule an appointment to obtain your marriage license.
The Parkman Grange is having their 20th Mother’s Day Tea on Saturday, May 7th from 10:00 a.m. to Noon. The guest of honor is Tylene Kimball, who in 2000 came up with the idea to have a tea to honor mothers. Tea fare, sandwiches, and sweet treats will be served. Bobby Kimball and Julie Harrington will provide entertainment. There will be plenty of door prizes given away, and there will be a 50/50 raffle. There will be plenty of time to catch up with family and friends as well. Admission is $5.00, children under 5 are free. This is a very popular event, seating will be limited, so please reserve early by calling Sue at 277-3942.
If you need a certified copy of a birth, death, or marriage certificate please call ahead to the Parkman Town Office at 876-3730. The fee is $15.00 for one copy, and $6.00 for any additional copies of the same record requested at the same time.
The Moose permit applications are now available online at www.maine.gov/ifw. The deadline for completion is by 11:59 p.m. on May 12, 2022. The Moose Lottery drawing will be held in June of 2022.
When doing a private sale, if there are two names on the prior title you must have both signatures on the back of the title to register the vehicle. If you are doing a title in two names at the time of registration, both parties must be present to sign the title in front of the clerk.
Minnie Bridge Scholarship applications are available at the Town Offices of SAD #4 (Abbot, Cambridge, Guilford, Parkman, and Sangerville). The $500 scholarship is open to second year + college, technical, and community college students. The deadline for applications is Thursday, June 30, 2022. Please mail applications and all required materials to Parkman Grange, PO BOX 114, Guilford, ME 04443 or drop them off at the Parkman Town Office.
The Bureau of Motor Vehicles Bangor branch is located at 396 Griffin Road, Suite 202 in Bangor.
There will be a Mother’s Day Craft Fair on Saturday, May 7th and Sunday, May 8th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Masonic Hall, 34 Hudson Avenue in Guilford. If you would like a booth, please contact Amanda Gray at craftsbyamanda207@gmail.com.
The Sangerville Food Cupboard (Universalist Unitarian Church) is open the first and third Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. All are welcome. They are located at the corner of Church and Main Street in downtown Sangerville. For more information, please call 277-4221.

The Bicentennial Committee has 2022 Calendars for sale at the Parkman Town Office and KC’s Country Store. They are $15.00 each. They also have Town of Parkman hooded sweatshirts available for purchase at the Parkman Town Office. They are $25.00 each. All proceeds will go toward the 200th Celebration for the Town of Parkman.

The Bicentennial Committee has been busy planning for the 200th Celebration for the Town of Parkman. The celebration will take place on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 38 North Dexter Road (field where B & K Storage is). This is an outdoor event that will start with a parade at 11:00 a.m. If you are interested in being in the parade, please email townofparkman@yahoo.com or message via their Facebook page. There will be Food Trucks and an Ice Cream/Slush Puppy Truck, crafters/vendors, kids games, horse and carriage rides, bounces houses, corn hole competition, live entertainment all afternoon and in the evening, and fireworks. A complete schedule of events will be posted. Inside of the Parkman Grange will be the historical portion with merchandise (t-shirts, History Books, calendars for sale). We hope to see you all there!
