As of October 1st, all unpaid property taxes are accruing interest of 6%.
The Planning Board will meet on Thursday, October 7th at 6:00 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.
SAD #4 will be having an Early Release Day on Thursday, October 7th at 11:30 a.m. and no school Friday, October 8th and Monday, October 11, 2021.
The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSED on Monday, October 11th in observance of Columbus Day.
The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSED on Tuesday, October 12th and Wednesday, October 13th for staff to attend a 2-day virtual Elections Training.
The Parkman Trailblazers Snowmobile Club will meet on Tuesday, October 12th at 6:00 p.m. in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office.
The Board of Selectmen will meet on Thursday, October 14th and Thursday, October 28th at 6:00 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.
The Bicentennial Committee will meet on Tuesday, October 19th at 6:00 p.m. in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office. All are welcome to attend this meeting to plan for the 200th Celebration, scheduled for Saturday, July 23, 2022.
The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSED on Thursday, October 21st for staff to attend a Motor Vehicle Training.
Youth Hunting Day is Saturday, October 23, 2021. Hunting with firearms begins on Saturday, October 30th for Maine residents and Monday, November 1st for all hunters. The last day of hunting season for firearms is November 27, 2021.
The 2022 Dog Licenses will be available on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. The fee for a male/female is $11.00, and $6.00 for a spayed or neutered dog. All dogs must be licensed by January 31, 2022
, or a $25.00 state mandated late fee will apply. Reminder letters will out in the mail by mid-October, and each letter will have a reminder if we need your dog’s current rabies certificate.
The Parkman Baptist Church will be holding a TRUNK OR TREAT on Saturday, October 30th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Kids and their parents are welcome to come get treats. This even will be held at the Parkman Baptist Church. If you have any questions, please contact Yvonne Davis at 717-5929.
The Transfer Station is no longer open on Wednesdays. They are open Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to Noon. Please have your Transfer Station sticker visible to the attendants inside of your vehicle. If you do not have a sticker, please contact the Town Office at 876-3730. They are free of charge.
If you need a certified copy of a birth, death, or marriage certificate please call ahead to the Parkman Town Office at 876-3730. The fee is $15.00 for one copy, and $6.00 for any additional copies of the same record requested at the same time.
The Universalist Unitarian Church of Sangerville and Dover-Foxcroft Food Cupboard is open the first and third Wednesday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. All are welcome. They are located at the corner of Church Street and Main Street in downtown Sangerville.

The Bicentennial Committee has tickets for purchase for a one of a kind personalized .17 HMR Henry Golden Boy gun. There is a limited supply of 500 tickets. Tickets are $10.00 each and are available at the Parkman Town Office, KC’s Country Store, Herring Brothers, and from Tricia Elderkin. The drawing will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021.
Proof of insurance is required to register all vehicles. The Town Office accepts electronic proof of insurance, or you can have your insurance agent fax proof to 876-9704 or email proof to townofparkman@yahoo.com.
The Parkman Baptist Church holds worship services every Sunday at 10:00 a.m All are welcome to attend.
Building permits are available at the Parkman Town Office.
When doing a private sale, if there are two names on the prior title you must have both signatures on the back of the title to register the vehicle. If you are doing a title in two names at the time of registration, both parties must be present to sign the title in front of the clerk.
Don’t forget to FALL BACK and set your clocks back one hour on Sunday, November 7th at 2:00 a.m.
ATV registrations DO NOT require a title. If you are registering an ATV for the first time, please bring in a bill of sale or proof of sales tax from a dealer at time of registration. For all Inland Fisheries transactions (ATV, Boat, Snowmobile, Hunting/Fishing) you must bring in a valid drivers license or unexpired State ID.
The fee for a marriage license is $40.00. Marriage applications are valid 90 days from issue. Both the bride and groom must sign the application in the presence of a clerk at the Parkman Town Office. If this isn’t your first marriage, please bring in a copy of your divorce decree or a death certificate of prior spouse when completing the application. Please not that you must call the Parkman Town Office at 876-3730 to schedule an appointment to obtain your marriage license.
The Referendum Election will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. Polls will be open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. Voting will take place in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office. Absentee ballots will be available at the Parkman Town Office. The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSED for business on Election Day.
