PARKMAN NEWS—DECEMBER 2020 EDITION
The Planning Board will meet on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.
Muzzleloader season is November 30th through December 12th and the cost for a muzzleloader license is $14.00.
The Parkman Trailblazers Snowmobile Club will meet on Tuesday, December 8th at 6:00 p.m. in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office.
As of October 1, 2020, all 2020 unpaid property taxes are accruing interest at 8%.
The Board of Selectmen will meet on Thursday, December 10th at 6:00 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.
The SAD #4 Santa Project is underway. This program provides a warm winter coat, boots, and toys to eligible children in our area. An angel tree is set up at KC’s Country Store where you can pick out a star with a child’s request and shop for that. Donations can be made by check to the Parkman Grange, PO Box 114, Guilford, ME 04443, memo line: Santa project. The distribution will be on Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon at the Parkman Grange. It will be a drive thru event that will include a turkey dinner from the Masons. The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSED on Thursday, December 24th and Friday, December 25th in observance of Christmas.
Just a friendly reminder that all dogs six months and older must be licensed by January 31, 2021 or a state mandated $25.00 late fee will apply. The fee for a male/female is $11.00, and $6.00 for a spayed or neutered dog.
White’s Family Redemption WINTER HOURS: Open Tuesday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Closed Sunday and Monday. They are located on the Crow Hill Road in Parkman. 876-2681.

The Transfer Station is open Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to Noon. Please follow social distancing guidelines at the Transfer Station. Please have your sticker visible to the attendants inside of your vehicle. If you do not have a Transfer Station sticker, please contact the Town Office at 876-3730. They are free of charge.
The 2021 snowmobile registrations and stickers are now available. The fee for a renewal is $46.00, and $47.00 for a new registration. Non-resident snowmobile registrations are $100.00 for a renewal and $101.00 for a new registration, non-resident 3-Day is $50.00, and a non-resident 10-Day is $76.00. Inland Fisheries and Wildlife requires patrons to bring in a valid driver’s license or State ID when obtaining a snowmobile registration.
Proof of insurance is required to register all vehicles. The Town Office accepts electronic proof of insurance or you can have your insurance email proof to townofparkman@yahoo.com or fax proof to 876-9704.
The fee for a marriage license is $40.00. Marriage applications are valid 90 days from issue. Both the bride and groom must sign the application in the presence of a clerk at the Parkman Town Office. If this is not your first marriage, please bring a copy of your divorce decree or a death certificate when completing the application. Please note that you must call the Parkman Town Office at 876-3730 to schedule an appointment to obtain your marriage license.
Inland Fisheries and Wildlife requires patrons to bring in a valid driver’s license or unexpired State ID when obtaining a Hunting/Fishing License.
ATTENTION: The little winter sand shed by the old barn at the Parkman Town Office is for Parkman residents only. Please limit sand to 2 five-gallon buckets per storm. Thank you!

If you need a certified copy of a birth, death, or marriage certificate please call ahead to the Parkman Town Office at 876-3730. The fee is $15.00 for one copy, and $6.00 for any additional copies of the same record requested at the same time.
Fire permits can be obtained at KC’s Country Store from Pam Sukis: 876-4111, and from Danny White at 85 Crow Hill Road: 876-2681.
The books for the Town of Parkman close on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. Property taxes unpaid at the time will appear in the annual Town Report. Any requests to the Selectmen for articles in the warrant for the annual Town Meeting must be received by January 29, 2021.
Reminder: When doing a private sale, if there are two names on the prior title you must have both signatures on the back of the title to register the vehicle. If you are doing a title in two names at time of registration, both parties must be present to sign the title in front of the clerk.
