As of October 1st, all unpaid property taxes are accruing interest of 8%.
The Planning Board will meet on Thursday, October 1st at 6:00 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.
The Transfer Station is no longer open on Wednesdays. They are open Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to Noon. Please follow social distancing guidelines at the Transfer Station. Please have your Transfer Station sticker visible to the attendants inside of your vehicle. If you do not have a sticker, please call 876-3730 so we can mail you one or stop by the Parkman Town Office during business hours to get one. They are free of charge.
The Board of Selectmen will meet on Thursday, October 8th and Thursday, October 22nd at 6:00 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.
The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSED on Monday, October 12th in observance of Columbus Day.
The Parkman Trailblazers Snowmobile Club will meet on Tuesday, October 13th at 6:00 p.m. in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office.

The Bureau of Motor Vehicle in Bangor is open by appointment only. The number to schedule an appointment is 942-1319.
The 2021 Dog Licenses will be available on Thursday, October 15, 2020. The fee for a male/female is $11.00, and $6.00 for a spayed or neutered dog. All dogs must be licensed by January 31, 2021 or a $25.00 state mandated late fee will apply. Reminder letters will go out in the mail by mid-October, and each letter will have a reminder if we need your dog’s current rabies certificate.

Youth Hunting day is Saturday, October 24, 2020. Hunting with firearms begins on Saturday, October 31st for Maine residents and Monday, November 2nd for all hunters. The last day of hunting season for firearms is November 28, 2020.
Don’t forget to FALL BACK and set your clocks back one hour on Sunday, November 1st at 2:00 a.m.
The Referendum Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Polls will be open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. Voting will take place in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office. We will be practicing social distancing and having less voter booths available. Absentee ballots will be available at the Parkman Town Office. If you receive multiple mailings for applications to request an absentee ballot, please only fill out one and return it. If you have any questions, please call the Parkman Town Office at 876-3730. The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSED for business on Election Day.

The Parkman Baptist Church will be holding a TRUNK OR TREAT on Saturday, October 31st from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Kids and their parents are welcome to come get treats. This event will be held at the Parkman Baptist Church. The Church asks that you please keep a 6-foot distance and that adults please wear a mask or face covering. Proof of insurance is required to register all vehicles. The Town Office accepts electronic proof of insurance or you can have your insurance email proof to townofparkman@yahoo.com or fax proof to 876-9704.
The Parkman Baptist Church holds worship services every Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m.
White’s Family Redemption is open Tuesday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. They are closed Sunday and Monday. They are located on the Crow Hill Road. Please call 876-2681 outside of business hours.
ATV registrations DO NOT require a title. If you are registering an ATV for the first time, please bring in a bill of sale or proof of sales tax from a dealer at time of registration.
If you need a certified copy of a birth, death, or marriage certificate please call ahead to the Parkman Town Office at 876-3730. The fee is $15.00 for one copy, and $6.00 for any additional copies of the same record requested at the same time.
The fee for a marriage license is $40.00. Marriage applications are valid 90 days from issue. Both the bride and groom must sign the application in the presence of a clerk at the Parkman Town Office. If this is not your first marriage, please bring a copy of your divorce decree or a death certificate when completing the application. Please note that you must call the Parkman Town Office at 876-3730 to schedule an appointment to obtain your marriage license.
Donations to the Minnie Welts Bridge Memorial Scholarship can be made at KC’s Country Store or the Parkman Town Office; each place has a donation jar. You can also write a check to the Parkman Grange, noting “Scholarship Fund” on the memo line and mail it to the Parkman Grange: PO Box 114, Guilford, ME 04443. Sue Manchester, the Parkman Grange Master, can provide additional information. She can be reached at 277-3942. Every donation will be greatly appreciated and will go directly to future scholarship awards.

We accept credit cards in person and over the phone. There is a 3% surcharge when using your credit card. We are operating out of the window on the ramp for transactions. If possible, call ahead to 876-3730 so we can have it ready upon arrival. Please use social distancing practices when coming to the window. If someone is already at the window, please wait in your vehicle until they leave the window area. As cold weather approaches, we will be opening our lobby area to 2 customers at a time.
