PARKMAN NEWS: MAY 2020 EDITION
The Transfer Station will be opening on Wednesdays beginning May 20, 2020 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. They are also open Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to Noon. Please follow social distancing rules at the Transfer Station. Please have your Transfer Station sticker visible to the attendants inside of your vehicle. If you do not have a sticker, please call 876-3730 so we can mail you one or stop by the Town Office during business hours to get one. They are free of charge.
The Town of Parkman will be having Clean-up days on Wednesday, May 20th and Saturday, June 6, 2020. There will be NO CHARGE for Demo these two days at the Transfer Station. You must have your Transfer Station sticker visible to the attendants.
The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSED on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day.
The Board of Selectmen will meet on Thursday, May 28th at 6:00 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.
The Annual Town Meeting for the Town of Parkman will be held on Monday, June 1, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office. The meeting will possibly be held outside depending on attendance. The Registrar of Voters will be at the Parkman Town Office at 5:00 p.m. for the purpose of registering new voters. Town Reports are available at KC’s Country Store and the Parkman Town Office.
The 2020 Boat Registrations are available. If you are registering a boat for the first time, please bring in a bill of sale or proof of sales tax paid at a dealer at the time of registration. Registration fee is based on length of boat and horsepower. Boats DO NOT require a title. If you are re-registering your boat, the forms have changed since last year. We need the color of the boat and your Driver’s License or an unexpired State ID. This is a requirement from Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.

Fire permits can be obtained at KC’s Country Store from Pam Sukis: 876-4111, and from Danny White at 85 Crow Hill Road: 876-2681.

If you need a certified copy of a birth, death, or marriage certificate please call ahead to the Parkman Town Office at 876-3730. The fee is $15.00 for one copy, and $6.00 for any additional copies of the same record requested at the same time.
The last day of school for SAD #4 Remote Learning is Tuesday, June 9, 2020. Hang in their parents, the end is in sight!
The Primary/Special Referendum Election will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. The deadline to change your political party is June 29, 2020. June’s newsletter will have more detailed information about the Election.
Proof of insurance is required to register all vehicles. The Town Office accepts electronic proof of insurance or you can have your insurance agent fax proof to 876-9704 or email proof to townofparkman@yahoo.com.
The Parkman Town Office is open on Monday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We are operating out of the window on the ramp for transactions. It really helps if you can call ahead with a time you are coming and what you want to register etc. so we can have it ready upon arrival. We do allow people to come inside when it is raining hard. We allow no more than 2 people in at a time; and ask you to respect social distancing as much as possible. We accept credit cards in person and over the phone.
