The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSED on Monday, September 2nd in observance of Labor Day.
The Parkman Prowlers will meet on Tuesday, September 3rd at 6:00 p.m. in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office.
The Parkman Grange will meet on Tuesday, September 3rd at 6:00 p.m. at the Parkman Grange Hall. All are welcome to join them for fall activities, which include the Great Parkman Smoke Off on 09/14, the Military Appreciation Supper on 10/19, and the Hunter’s Supper on 11/16. The Planning Board will meet on Thursday, September 5th at 7:00 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.
The Parkman Baptist Church will be holding the second showing of The Pilgrim’s Progress on Friday, September 13th at 6:00 p.m. at the Parkman Baptist Church. This is a free event, however there will be a freewill love offering and all proceeds will go toward making the movie available in different languages worldwide.
The Great Parkman Smoke Off hosted by the Parkman Grange will be held on Saturday, September 14th at the Parkman Town Office. Sampling will begin at 3:00 p.m.; $8.00 includes your voting card, a round of samples, and side dishes. Food will include a variety of smoked foods to sample and vote on, sides provided by the Parkman Grange, and corn on the cob. The Bicentennial Committee will be having a Pie Auction at the event with the proceeds to benefit the 200th Birthday of the Town of Parkman Celebration planned for 2022. The Board of Selectmen will meet on Thursday, September 12th and Thursday, September 26th at 6:00 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.
All unpaid 2019 property taxes begin accruing interest of 9% on October 1, 2019.
The Transfer Station is open on Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to Noon. Please note that Wednesday, September 25th will be the last day the Transfer Station will be open on Wednesdays this year.
The Bicentennial Committee will meet on Tuesday, September 17th at 1:30 p.m. in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office. Anyone interested in joining this committee is encouraged to attend this meeting or contact the Parkman Town Office at 876-3730.
The Parkman Grange’s well is going dry and donations are being accepted at the Parkman Town Office, KC’s Country Store, or by check to the Parkman Grange; PO Box 114, Guilford, ME 04443. Please put well fund in the memo line. Thank you for your help in keeping the Grange going.

Proof of insurance is required to register all vehicles. The Town Office accepts electronic proof of insurance or you have your insurance company fax proof to 876-9704 or email proof to townofparkman@yahoo.com.
The Universalist Unitarian Church of Sangerville and Dover-Foxcroft Food Cupboard is open the 1st Wednesday and 3rd Wednesday each month from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. All are welcome. Patrons may come to one distribution per month. They are located at 130 Main Street in Sangerville (corner Church Street and Main Street).
The Motor Vehicle Mobile Unit hours in Dover-Foxcroft: The 1st and last Wednesday of each month from 9:30 a.m. to Noon & 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the American Legion Hall (112 Park Street, Dover-Foxcroft).

If you need a certified copy of a birth, death, or marriage certificate please call ahead to the Parkman Town Office at 876-3730. The fee is $15.00 for one copy, and $6.00 for any additional copies of the same record requested at the same time.

The Parkman Baptist Church holds worship services every Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend.

The fee for a marriage license is $40.00. Marriage applications are valid 90 days from issue. Both the bride and groom must sign the application in the presence of a clerk at the Parkman Town Office. If this isn’t your first marriage, please bring a copy of your divorce decree or a death certificate when completing the application. Please note that you must call the Parkman Town Office at 876-3730 to schedule an appointment to obtain your marriage license.
ATV registrations DO NOT require a title. If you are registering an ATV for the first time, please bring in a bill of sale or proof of sales tax paid from a dealer at time of registration. The fee for a new ATV is $47.00 for Maine residents, and $92.00 for non-residents. The fee for a renewal is $46.00 for Maine residents and $91.00 for non-residents. There is also a non-resident 7-day registration; the fee is $76.00.
The Parkman Baptist Church is looking to start a DELTA Kids Club for 1st through 6th graders on Thursdays after school until 5:00 p.m. The school bus would transport the kids to the Parkman Baptist Church. There will be fun activities, Bible stories, games, snacks, and more. Each child will get a sash and be able to earn patches for it. This is will be a FREE program to area children. Carlson Williams will be speaking on the Sensational Murder of Alvin Watson in Parkman in 1881 on Wednesday, October 2nd at 3:00 p.m. at the Guilford Memorial Library.
