As of October 1, 2023, all unpaid property taxes are accruing interest of 8%.

The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSED on Wednesday, October 4th and Thursday, October 5th so staff can attend the annual MMA Convention.
The Planning Board will meet on Thursday, October 5th at 6:00 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.
SAD #4 will have an early release day on Thursday, October 5th (11:30 a.m. dismissal time), no school on Friday, October 6th (Teacher Workshop), and no school on Monday, October 9th (Indigenous Peoples Day).
The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSED on Monday, October 9th in observance of Indigenous Peoples Day.
The Parkman Trailblazers Snowmobile Club will meet on Tuesday, October 10th at 6:00 p.m. in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office.
The Board of Selectmen will meet on Thursday, October 12th and Thursday, October 26th at 5:30 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.
The Parkman Prowlers ATV Club will meet on Monday, October 16th at 5:30 p.m. in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office. It is a potluck, and all are welcome to attend.

The Sangerville Food Cupboard (Universalist Unitarian Church) is open the first and third Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. All are welcome. They are located at the corner of Church and Main Street in downtown Sangerville. For more information, please call 277-4221.
The 2024 Dog Licenses will be available on Monday, October 16, 2023. The fee for a male/female is $11.00, and $6.00 for a spayed or neutered dog. All dogs must be licensed by January 31, 2024, or a $25.00 state mandated late fee will apply. Reminder letters will go out in the mail in October, and each letter will have a reminder if we need your dog’s current rabies certificate.
The Transfer Station is no longer open on Wednesdays. They are open Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to Noon. Please have your Transfer Station sticker visible to the attendants inside of your vehicle.
Youth Hunting will take place on Friday, October 20th and Saturday, October 21st, 2023. Hunting with firearms begins on Saturday, October 28th for Maine residents and Monday, October 30th for all hunters. The last day of hunting season for firearms is November 25, 2023.
Update from Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife: Agent fees will increase to $5.00 for ATV & Snowmobile registrations effective October 25, 2023. This new increase only affects ATV and Snowmobile registrations, boats and hunting/fishing will remain the same.
The Parkman Baptist Church will be holding a TRUNK OR TREAT on Tuesday, October 31st from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Kids and their parents are welcome to come get treats. This event will be at the Parkman Baptist Church. If you have any questions, please contact Yvonne Davis at 717-5929.

Proof of insurance is required to register all vehicles. The Town Office accepts electronic proof of insurance, or you can have your insurance agent email proof to townofparkman@yahoo.com.
The Parkman Baptist Church holds worship services every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend.
When doing a private sale, if there are two names on the prior title you must have both signatures on the back of the title to register the vehicle. If you are doing a title in two names at the time of registration, both parties must be present to sign the title in front of the clerk. Please note when doing a private sale, a 1995 to current year vehicle will need a title indefinitely.
White’s Family Redemption is open Tuesday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. They are closed Sunday and Monday. They are located on the Crow Hill Road in Parkman. They can be reached at 876-2681. Please note that they will be closed the first day of Hunting Season, Saturday, October 28th.
If you need a certified copy of a birth, death, or marriage certificate please call ahead to the Parkman Town Office at 876-3730. The fee is $15.00 for one copy, and $6.00 for any additional copies of the same record requested at the same time.
The Referendum Election will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office. Absentee ballots will be available at the Parkman Town Office. Polls will be open 8:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. Note of information: If Question #3 passes regarding Government Owned and Operated Power Company, the Town of Parkman would lose $252,259.82 in property tax revenue. This money would have to be made up by property owners in Parkman. This would mean a significant increase in property tax and please give it thought and vote on November 7th.
