PARKMAN NEWS—FEBRUARY 2021 EDITION

  • The Planning Board will meet on​​ Thursday, February 4th​​ at 6:00 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.​​ 

  • The​​ Parkman Trailblazers​​ Snowmobile Club​​ will meet on​​ Tuesday,​​ February 9th​​ at 6:00 p.m. in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office.

  • SAD #4 school vacation week is February 15th​​ through the February 19th.

  • The Board of Selectmen will meet on​​ Thursday, February 11th​​ and​​ Thursday, February 25th​​ at 6:00 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.

  • The Parkman Town Office will be​​ CLOSED​​ on​​ Monday, February 15, 2021​​ in observance of Presidents’ Day.

  • ATTENTION: ​​ The little winter sand shed by the old barn at the Parkman Town Office is for Parkman residents only. ​​ Please limit sand to​​ 2 five-gallon buckets per storm. ​​ Thank you!

  • The Universalist Unitarian Church of Sangerville and Dover-Foxcroft Food Cupboard is Open the 1st​​ and 3rd​​ Wednesday of each month from 9:30 a.m. to Noon. ​​ All are welcome. ​​ They are located​​ at the corner of Church Street and Main Street in downtown Sangerville.

  • Proof of insurance is required to register all vehicles. ​​ The Town Office accepts electronic proof of insurance or you can have your insurance agent email proof to​​ townofparkman@yahoo.com​​ or fax proof to 876-9704.

  • The Transfer Station is open Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to Noon. ​​ Please have your sticker visible to the attendants inside of your vehicle. ​​ If you do not have a Transfer Station​​ sticker, please contact the Town Office at 876-3730. ​​ They are free of charge.

  • Sonia Sanborn is the Animal Control Officer for the Town of Parkman. ​​ She can be reached at 876-3000 (h) or 343-0455 (c).

  • White’s Family Redemption​​ WINTER HOURS: ​​ Open Tuesday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ​​ Closed Sunday and Monday. ​​ They are located on the Crow Hill Road in Parkman. ​​ 876-2681.

  • Inland Fisheries and Wildlife requires patrons to bring in a valid driver’s license or unexpired State ID when obtaining a Hunting/Fishing License. ​​ The 2021​​ Hunting/Fishing licenses are available for purchase at the Parkman Town Office. ​​ Hunting licenses are $28.00, Fishing is $27.00, Junior Hunt are $10.00, Combination Hunt/Fish are $45.00, and Archery are $27.00.

  • Fire permits can be obtained at KC’s Country Store from Pam Sukis: 876-4111, and from Danny White at 85 Crow Hill Road: 876-2681.

  • When doing a private sale, if there are two names on the prior title you must have both signatures on the back of the title to​​ register the vehicle. ​​ If you are doing a title in two names at time of registration, both parties must be present to sign the title in front of the clerk.

  • The 2021 snowmobile registrations and stickers are available. ​​ The fee for a renewal is $46.00, and​​ $47.00 for a new registration. ​​ Non-resident snowmobile registrations are $100.00 for a renewal and $101.00 for a new registration, non-resident 3-Day is $50.00, and a non-resident 10-day is $76.00. ​​ Inland Fisheries and Wildlife requires patrons to bring​​ in a valid driver’s license or unexpired State ID when obtaining a snowmobile registration.

  • If you need a certified copy of a birth, death, or marriage certificate please call ahead to the Parkman Town Office at 876-3730. ​​ The fee is $15.00 for one copy, and $6.00 for any additional copies of the same record requested at the same time.​​ 

  • The annual Town Meeting for the Town of Parkman will be held on​​ Saturday, March 20, 2021​​ at 10:30 a.m. at the Parkman Grange Hall. ​​ The Registrar of Voters will be at the Parkman Grange Hall at 10:00 a.m. ​​ Please bring your annual Town Report with you to the Town Meeting. ​​ The reports are anticipated to be available by March 12th​​ at the Parkman Town Office, KC’s Country Store, and the Transfer Station.

  • The Parkman Town Office​​ is open Monday and Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ​​ The phone number is 876-3730, fax is 876-9704, email is​​ townofparkman@yahoo.com, and website is​​ www.parkmanmaine.com. ​​ We no longer require appointments, but it is extremely helpful if you can call ahead with the transaction you would like to do. ​​ We accept credit cards over the phone as well. ​​ There is a 3% surcharge when using your credit card. ​​ Please wear a mask/face covering when coming into the Parkman Town Office.
